58% of orgs predict remote workers will expose them to data breach risk

35% of UK IT decision makers admitted that their remote workers have already knowingly put corporate data at risk of a breach in the last year according to an annual survey conducted by Apricorn. 58% still believe that remote workers will expose their organization to the risk of data breach. This figure has risen steadily year on year from 44% in 2018 to 58% in 2021. Despite the pandemic, the number of organizations expecting remote workers to put them at risk has remained level. This suggests that organizations could have increased their security processes for remote workers, or are putting more trust in their employees.
