Federal Trade Commission and 48 state attorneys general file a pair of antitrust lawsuits against Facebook. The lawsuits allege that the company abused its power in the marketplace to neutralize competitors and deprive users of better privacy-friendly alternatives. Facebook calls the lawsuits “revisionist history,” while also pointing out the fact that regulators “correctly” allowed these deals to move forward because they did not threaten competition.
