372% increase in healthcare bot traffic could tamper with booking vaccine dates

A 372% increase in healthcare bot traffic globally since September 2020. Bot traffic has soared 48.8% over the past year, reaching an unprecedented level over the 12-month average. In recent weeks, vaccine websites from Massachusetts to Minnesota have crashed, with an innumerable amount of that traffic potentially coming from bots. But automated traffic congests the network’s bandwidth and will make it harder for legitimate users to access the system.
