In 2018, 51% of cybersecurity and IT professionals said their organization had a shortage of cybersecurity skills. This shortage is especially pronounced when it comes to hiring women into the field. Women account for just 11% of the cybersecurity workforce and are five times less likely to hold leadership positions than men.
