2nd Florida city in just a week to pay hackers big ransom for seized computer systems

Ransomware attacks on the rise, targeting both individuals and organizations, U.S. Department of Homeland Security says. City of Lake City in Florida will give hackers $460,000 to hand back control of email and other servers seized two weeks ago. Riviera Beach, Florida, also lost its email system and 911 dispatchers not being able to enter calls into the computer. City governments in Atlanta, Newark, N.J., and Sarasota, Fla., also have been hit by ransomware schemes.”]
