$100 million in bounties paid via HackerOne to ethical hackers

Bug bounty platform HackerOne announced today that $100,000,000 in rewards were paid out to white-hat hackers around the world as of May 26, 2020. Over 700,000 ethical hackers are no using the bug bounty platform to get paid for security bugs in the products of more than 1,900 HackerOne customers. The total amount of rewards paid to hackers grew from $10 million between 2014 and 2016, to $30 million between 2017 and 2019, and reached $50 million between Q2 2019 and Q2 2020.
